my toes are cold
I'm sitting here working on homework and thinking about how cold my toes are. Thinking about my cold toes makes me think about Long Island Ice Tea (weird connection, I know). Why Long Island Ice Tea? Because Michael's mom makes huge (like big gulp size) LIIT's for us to take down to the lake with us. His parents live in Houston, AL (yeah, I didn't know there was a Houston, AL either until I met him) on Smith Lake. Their house is right on the water in a cove, the water is BEAUTIFUL and feels wonderful on a hot day. Last summer every free weekend we had we headed down there and I can't wait to get out on the water again!

Do I Really Make Faces Like This?

Laura recently posted these pictures of me from high school on her facebook. Friends, family... do I really do this? I think these must have been photoshopped.

Happy Birthday Baby!
Today is Michael's 28th birthday, he is old, jk =)

I was excited about giving him his birthday presents so last night I gave him half of them. I got him two pairs of pants and two shirts. Obviously, I am a bad shopper... even though they are the right size one pair of pants was way to long, the other was too small. I guess that's what I get for shopping from the clearance rack! The shirts on the other hand, fit great!

He SHOULD get the rest of his presents tonight, if the mail man brings them! I ordered them over a week and a half ago and they still aren't here! I got him a couple DVD's he has been wanting (Ocean's Eleven and Twelve) and a few others I thought looked good (Envy, Mystic River, Eurotrip and Crash.) If they don't come in I've printed off each one and I guess that will have to do.

After he gets off work I am taking him to my favorite restaurant, it's his too! We both LOVE Edo! I'm looking forward to loading up on some yummy Sushi!

Why I Need To Open A Hotel Near The Beach
So, right now I am hotel hunting. The first weekend in May Michael's sister is getting married in Fairhope, AL (not far from Gulf Shores.) Then, July 15 my friend Heather is getting married in Destin, Fl. My good god are hotels expensive. We are wanting to stay for his sisters wedding at least 3 nights so he can show me around the area. Michael went to the University of South Alabama in Mobile and i've never been there. There are a bunch of places (and good seafood joints) he wants to take me to. I sure hope we get a good tax refund....

Not Starving Artists Anymore
Today we made some starving artist not so starving anymore. All week I had been seeing the commercials about sofa sized oil paintings no higher than $59. We have absolutely NO art in our new house so we decided to use some of the money we made on the Jeep (yes, we sold it in one day!!!). My mom went with us to the Holiday Inn downtown to check out the one day sale.

First off, we should have went before we did. You could tell that at 11:00 when they opened they had a TON of stuff. By the time we got there a lot was gone. Michael came across a beautiful sofa sized painting of a pond like scene. I picked it up and carried it around, I thought we might find something we liked better. While I had it in hand four or five people asked if I was sure I wanted it, they wanted it too. **side note, Michael just made me a yummy martini**

As we were looking through the stacks I was drawn to the old cafe looking ones. They all had bright colors and looked like they were set in the streets of Italy. I picked out one that was about 15x35 and two others that went along with it that were about 10x20.

Four paintings (and frames) and about $250(had to buy the frames seperate) later we headed home to do some hanging. The large one looks wonderful above our love seat in the living room. We put the other three on the large wall in the dining/kitchen area. I am so happy to no longer have all bare walls! My mom didn't fine anything that struck her fancy, she was looking for something a little more abstract.

Got to go... Michael's parents are almost here to take us to Olive Garden for Michael's birthday dinner. I'll eat a breadstick for you.

Really Bad
So, Michael informed me that I am a really bad mommy. I left out two of the babies! Here they are... our sugar gliders.

This is Delenn checking out the inside of a cup.

Bath Time

After several former attempts of trying to give Lexi a bath in the sink I finally decided to just stick her in the tub. The sink baths would get me COMPLETELY wet... bath tub, just partially wet! Isn't she a cutie!

What the heck!
Seems like everyone has their own blog these days... so what the heck... here I go!

For Sale
In anyone knows someone needing a vehicle we have to get rid of one! It's Michael's old Jeep (1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 114k cd player we are asking $3000.) Over the weekend Michael and I both bought new cars but they wouldn't give us enough for a trade on his car and 3 car payments doesn't work to great. If interested let me know, there will be an add in the paper starting tomorrow.

The good news is better gas mileage for us! I traded my 'stang for a 2004 Suzuki Verona and we got Michael a 2001 VW passat. I really like my car but am a little jealous about his... it has BUTT WARMERS!
